Ecotec has obtained permission to operate mobile hazardous and non-hazardous waste treatment plants, pursuant to art. 208, paragraph 15 of the legislative decree no. 152/2006, permission to operate a mobile plant treating hazardous and non-hazardous waste (determination no. 123 of September 2, 2008 Executive ecology and protection of the civil province of Cagliari).
The mobile waste treatment plant, with a capacity of 40 m3/h, is designed to treat hazardous and non-hazardous waste through mechanical dehydration (in case of liquid and/or easily manageable sludge), possible grinding (solid waste), and subsequent stabilization, to obtain a final waste with suitable characteristics for disposal or further treatment.
The system's flexibility and modularity allow an easy adjustment of process parameters, in order to ensure the best performance, depending on the quality of ingoing waste and expected results.
The mobile waste treatment system is composed of the following sections (modules) which develop disposal operations identified by industry standards: Pumpable waste centrifugation characterized primarily by the presence of oils − operations D9 and D14; Solid waste shredding − operation D14; Stabilization and solidification (defined as neutralization) − operations D9, D14 by adding appropriate reagents such as calcium oxide and certain types of highly adsorptive bentonite.
A gaseous emission treatment system is also provided (wet scrubber and active carbon filtration) in order to ensure an effective pollutant removal (particulate matter and organic compounds pulled by the reaction gasses) and compliance with legal requirements.
The authorization for the operation of mobile waste treatment systems covers all types of waste treated by the system.
